Each franchise has its own coaching philosophy, draft behavior, trade history and reputation that develops across seasons.
Dynasty rosters, future picks, records, rivalries and championships persist. The inaugural draft begins a permanent CGL historical record.
CGL franchises draft from a shared pool of modern NFL players. Their real-world performances produce CGL fantasy points. Results remain live and unofficial through the NFL scoring period and become official after the final applicable game—normally Monday night—has ended and the commissioner’s scoring checks pass.
Full offensive skill positions, kickers and individual defensive players.
Development, elevation and roster strategy continue beyond the starting lineup.
The inaugural draft constructs every franchise from the same shared player pool.
CGL was designed around former NFL cities, major unserved markets, growing regions and places with football identities strong enough to inspire loyalty. Las Vegas serves as the home market of Caveman’s Sports Entertainment and anchors the league’s entertainment identity.
Explore the 32 MarketsSome coaching philosophies have direct history with their CGL city or state. Others connect through birthplace, college, playing career or regional tradition. Where no direct tie exists, the pairing is explicitly presented as a franchise-identity fit—not invented history.
Meet the Coaching ModelsNearby cities, competing states and recognizable regions were grouped together whenever possible. The franchises fighting for your division are often the cities your market already argues with, compares itself against or simply wants to beat.
